Our Vaccination events at the Greengate Street Mosque in Glodwick Resulted in 531 vaccinations on Saturday April 10^th and a further 604 vaccinations on Sunday 11^th.

Additionally 950 vaccinations  were performed at Oldham Central Mosque on Featherstall Road, Westwood performed on the Sat 10^th.

On the March 23^rd anniversary of the first of the UK's Covid lockdowns, Oldham Mosques council delivered meals to staff at the Royal Oldham Hospital as a gesture of thanks and support to the hard-working staff of the NHS.

Our second mass vaccination event on Saturday 20^th March was a great success - exceeding the previous event's total of 719 vaccinations with more than 1000 people receiving Covid-19  vaccine.

Organised by Oldham Mosques Council, Oldham Central Mosque and Oldham Interfaith Forum, with the support of Oldham Council and Action Together, a mass vaccination event was held at the Millennium Centre on Featherstall Road, Westwood on Saturday 13th March. This was the largest vaccination event in the country to date - NHS doctors  and members of the Army, Navy and RAF performed more than 700 vaccinations on the day - far exceeding the initial target of 500.

Another session will be taking place on  Saturday the 20th.

Oldham Mosques Council is currently delivering Covid-19 Vaccine Training and Information Sessions to mosques around Oldham to help Imams respond to questions, answer concerns and dispel myths surrounding the Covid vaccines.

Sessions held to date -

• 08/02/21 : Dr M Saleem and Dr Manur Ali were the trainers and mufti Helal Mahmood facilitated the session at Greengate st Masjid
• 11/02/21: Dr M Saleem and Dr Mansur did the same training at Nusratul Islam Masjid
• 16/02/21: Dr Chohan and Dr Musharraf delivered the training and Basit Shah facilitated at Madina Masjid Coppice.
• 18/02/21: Dr Chohan and Dr Musharraf delivered the training and Basit Shah facilitated at Jamia Gosia Masjid
• 23/02/21: Dr A Chodhury and Muft Helal delivered the traing and was facilitated by Abdul Karim Secretary of Oldham Central Masjid
